DON CLARK
The letter "G" is the beginning letter of some of my favorite words...GOD, Good, Gospel, Gospel Music, Golf,
and of course the key of G on any musical instrument. Singing with pre-recorded sound tracks or with
a keyboard and/or preaching is my joy. Just to be a blessing to everyone is my prayer.
In the Beginning
Began singing in church at the age of nine. The song was "One Day" all five verses memorized (MOM made me). I have served as music director for several churches, led the music in many revivals, sang solo, and duets with my grandmother.
Quartet Singing
I was one of the founding members of The Voyagers Quartet and sang tenor for the group. I sang baritone with The Arkansans. I love to sing harmony.
Preaching Ministry
Using the KJV Bible, I began preaching in 1982, and have been pastor of Sharon Rose Baptist Church in Malvern, AR for the past sixteen years.
Clark County Fair
I developed a "Gaither Style" class singing for the Clark County Fair to start the annual Fair with Southern Gospel Music to boost attendance on the first night, which has been very successful.
Gospel Radio DJ
From 1988 thru 1997 I was a DJ on our local radio station from 6:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. The name of the show was "Sunday Morning Gospel Jubilee."
On a Personal Note
Rusty Goodman and Ronnie Hinson are some of the singers who have made an influence in my singing style.
I am the eldest son of SBC pastor, Dr. Alvin E. Clark and the late Lorine Glover Clark. I am married to the former Pauline May Jimenez for forty-two years. We have two sons and seven grandchildren.
Available for revivals & concerts...traveling in converted motor coach.
