Aaliyah and Nate Gonzales make up A New Fire, southern gospel music's newest southern gospel ministry, honoring tradition while igniting something new.

In 2021, the Lord gave a desire to Aaliyah and Nate Gonzales to sing together as a duet after they went to their very first Southern Gospel Music concert. From the little town of Grand Prairie, TX, both Aaliyah and Nate grew up in a godly, music-filled household. They had learned piano through classical music but did not know what Southern Gospel Music was until then. Once they heard the music, their hearts knew they were going to be a part!

In 2023 they sang their first song together on a stage at the Charles Novell School of Music. Since then their music has grown into a dynamic new ministry under the name A New Fire. Aaliyah sings the melodious soprano sounds and Nate brings the baritone sounds to the group. Their love for Christ and His music flows through their voices and they pray that their music will form a new fire for Christ in you.
