Psalms 89:1 I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever
Marvin and Karens goal in life is to fulfill Christ's command as stated in Matthew 28:19 & 20, to further their knowledge of God's word, and to use the gifts God bestowed upon them for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The Stewart Familys ministry involves many different aspects of gospel music. Marvin is a southern gospel and country gospel soloist. In addition to singing, he is a musician, songwriter, and arranges music as well.
The Stewarts host gospel singings in the Arlington, Texas area, and would be glad to provide sound, MC, or other assistance for your Christian event, in addition to singing. See Marvins concert schedule for when the next singing is and come join us for a blessing!
Trinity Recording was born in 2003 The Stewarts ministry in recording it to help others get their demos and CDs recorded as economically as possible.
Marvin is a native Texan, born in Grand Prairie and raised in the small town of Alvarado. He was one of four children. While Marvin was growing up, his family did not attend church and there was a lack of spiritual guidance in his life. He started playing guitar at age 11 and by his mid-teens was playing and singing in bars and nightclubs to support himself. Satan used this to bring sin, depression and loneliness into Marvin's life. Tragedy struck in 1977 when three people (his brother Mark, his brother-in-law and one of their friends) were killed in a boating accident. Marvin, driver of the boat, was spared.
Marvin began seeking purpose in life. After two years of attending various churches, he called a Baptist preacher and asked for help. The preacher led him to Christ on April 15, 1979. Marvin later became an active church member, involved in soul-winning, the bus ministry and the adult choir. In 1982 he began serving the Lord in a Baptist church in Garland. Country gospel just wasn't a part of that church, but Marvin was in the choir and sang selected specials. He later moved to Joshua and attended another Baptist church where country gospel was more accepted.
Overcome by life's challenges in the early '90's, Marvin strayed from the Lord's work once again. He slipped backward in some of his convictions and quickly fell back into some of the lifestyle he'd once led. In August 1994, Marvin met his future wife, Karen. Later that year he led Karen and her daughter, Heather, to Christ. Marvin and Karen were married in 1995 and live in Arlington, Texas.
Marvin is once again actively involved in the adult choir at church, as well as his family's music ministry. The ability to play guitar and sing came back to him easily when the Lord let him know he was ready to be used by Him.
